FTrack Server is the module that manages working sessions with users. FTrack Server must be started first. If you don´t start FTrack Server you wont be able to use the application. FTrack Server is only installed in the computer that will act as the server. All users must have internet or lan access to the server in order to open working sessions from their PC's. If you are using FTrack as in a stand alone work station, from Windows start up menu, select option Start>Programs>FTrack CRM>Start FTrack Server as described in the next picture:
This option will launch FTrack Server as shown in the next picture:
DON´T CLOSE THIS WINDOW. This window is the console of FTrack Server. If you close it during a working session, it will stop serving users and they will lose their sessions. FTrack Server is basically a Tomcat server installed at port 8080.
Now users are ready to start working.
