There are tree ways that a User can add Documents from the main menu:

 

From the main menu: File>New>Document
From the main menu: File>Open>Documents. FTrack will open the Document list window. The use the push button {New}
From any FTrack object that accepts Documents, from the top menu: Actions>Add Document.

 
The Document "Code" is the only required field.

 

There are tree ways to View and Edit existing Documents:

From the main menu: File>Open>Documents. FTrack will open the Documents list so the user can filter records using the standard procedures or edit any record doing double click on it
From the Left tree view option panel: Doing double click on any of the following icons: Documents or My Documents.
From any FTrack object that accepts Documents, doing double click on the documents list displayed on tab Documents.

 
To Delete existing Document , edit the one you want to remove and use top menu option: File>Delete.

The information managed by this form is:

Code: Identification code for the document generated by FTrack
Title: Title of the document.
Description: Long description of the document.
Author: The author of the document.
Creation: Date when de document was recorder in FTrack database.
Last Update: Date of the last change done to the document.
Owner: The owner of the document.,
Private: If checked, only the owner of the document will be able to manage it.
List of Releases: The list of releases of the document are shown at the bottom of the page. Doing double click on any of them, FTrack will open the document on itself using the default browser or application

 

The actions that can be done from the document details form are:

 

View:
oOpen Document: Ftrack will open the selected document from the bottom list. It will use the default browser or application defined in the computer local configuration.
Actions:
oAdd Document: This option will add a new document release to the document details form.
